Hickory Point Fire Protection District responded to 62 calls in 2018 - 6.9 percent more than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Hickory Point included 23 fires - nine structure fires, three vehicle fires and 11 other fires.

In all, the department saw $17,700 in fire loss - or about $770 per fire.

The department also received 39 false calls, including one malicious call and 38 other false calls.

The Hickory Point Fire Protection District had an annual budget of $363,929 in 2018.
