Blue Mound Memorial Library issued the following announcement on Nov. 30.
Santa is coming!
The Blue Mound Memorial Library is excited to see that Santa is coming for his annual visit on Saturday December 5th. Santa will be here at 9:30 a.m. and will need to leave by noon to get back to the North Pole. Because of the current COVID restrictions, Santa’s visit will be outdoors along with distancing. We encourage you to drive up to the library where Santa and his helpers will be there to greet you.
Please stay in your car, roll your windows down and Santa helpers will give you a gift bag from Santa. Santa will be glad to hear your Christmas wishes from your car or if it is a secret wish and you only want Santa to hear it, bring a letter in an envelope and Santa’s helpers will make sure that it goes back to the North Pole with him. Don’t worry Santa will read all your letters.
Again, because of the COVID restrictions we cannot have our annual Christmas party inside the Library. Because of this Santa’s gift bag will include two Christmas craft projects for you to complete at home. Also, look for some yummy Christmas treats and gifts from Santa in the bag. The Blue Mound Library staff and Santa are very sad that we cannot have our annual Christmas party inside the Library, but we all want to stay safe and healthy, so hopefully next year we can resume our annually Christmas festivities here at the Library. We hope that everyone has a safe, healthy and Merry Christmas.
