Becatur Memorial Hospital issued the following announcement on Jan. 23.

Does the vaccine change your DNA? What is an mRNA vaccine?

The COVID-19 vaccine does not alter your DNA. Some COVID-19 vaccines are RNA vaccines. These type of vaccines contain mRNA, or messenger RNA.
