Last week, state Sen. Chapin Rose (R-Mahomet) joined the rest of the Senate GOP in thanking their support staff on Administrative Professionals Day.
In an April 21 video shared by the Illinois Senate Republican Caucus, Sen. Rose showed gratitude for his staff in District 51.
"Sending a shoutout to Lauren, Alisa, Deb and Landon," Rose said. "They do a great job in my office working for the people of the 51st Senate District. I hope they have a great Administrative Professionals Day. You guys are awesome.
"Thank you so much, Team Rose. Have a great and wonderful day."
In related news Sen. Rose has recently been vocal on the state's finances, including Gov. Pritzker's tax hike earlier this year, which sparked frustration for the Mahomet lawmaker.
"We've just had the largest tax increase in state history and it's never enough," Rose said in March according to Chambana Sun. "You're basically asking for another tax increase to justify $1.6 billion in spending. It's got to stop eventually."
The first National Secretaries Day was organized in 1952. Over the years, the name changed to Professional Secretaries Day. In 2000, the International Association of Administrative Professionals announced that name would be changed to Administrative Professionals Day.
