Meridian Community Unit School District 15 Board met April 6.

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

The Meridian Community Unit School District No. 15 Board of Education held a special meeting at the Elwin Township building. President Hogan called the meeting to order at 6:00 pm. The following members were present: Monte Hogan, Rebecca Kraft, Clint Gorden, Adam Herbert, Chris Jones, Kara Morey and Matt Roush.

The meeting adjourned for executive session at 6:00 p.m. for the purpose of discussing matters pertaining to the employment, appointment, or dismissal of specific employees or officers, purchase or sale of property, pending legal matters, student discipline and negotiations on a motion by Member Gorden and seconded by Member Roush. Motion carried 7-0.

On a motion by Member Morey, seconded by Member Jones, the Board returned to open session at 7:30 p.m.

On a motion by Member Herbert and seconded by member Jones the meeting was recessed at 7:30 pm and will reconvene after a short break. The motion carried 6-0 with abstention by Member Roush.

Meeting reconvened in open session at 8:03 pm on a motion by Member Gorden and seconded by Member Morey. Motion carried 7-0.

The meeting adjourned for executive session at 8:03 p.m. for the purpose of discussing matters pertaining to the employment, appointment, or dismissal of specific employees or officers, purchase or sale of property, pending legal matters, student discipline and negotiations on a motion by Member Gorden and seconded by Member Morey. Motion carried 7-0.

On a motion by Member Gorden, seconded by Member Morey, the Board returned to open session at 9:59 pm

The meeting adjourned at 10 pm.
