In a Thanksgiving Facebook post, Illinois state Rep. Dan Caulkins (R-Decatur) thanked First-Light USA for a bulk donation of First Light T-Max LE flashlights to the Piatt County Sheriff's patrol division.
"I would like to thank First-Light USA for their generous donation of several First Light T-Max LE flashlights to the Piatt County Sheriff’s patrol division," Caulkins said in the post. "A quality source of light is extremely important to our deputies while working out in the field and we should be thankful to First-Light USA for putting these lights in the hands of our deputies and in the hands of first responders across the country."
The T-MAX LE flashlight is built from aerospace-grade aluminum, optimized for use by police officers, and includes features such as a white-light tactical strobe; a flashing white, red and blue safety beacon; and a red and green secondary color mix; the product's official webpage said.
The Piatt County Sheriff's Office also posted a thank-you message to First-Light USA on Facebook.
"The Piatt County Sheriff’s Office would like to take a moment to thank First-Light USA for their very generous donation of several First Light T-Max LE flashlights to our patrol division," the Nov. 22 post said. "A quality source of light is extremely important to our deputies while working out in the field and we are very thankful to First-Light USA for putting these lights in the hands of our deputies and in the hands of first responders across the country. Thank you!"
First-Light USA responded to the Sheriff's Office in its own Facebook post.
"At First-Light USA, we’re always thankful for the folks that keep us safe every day, and since it’s that time of year, we reached out to some of our law enforcement here in FLUSA Country to express our gratitude," the post Nov. 22 said. "As a small gesture of our appreciation, we were able to outfit the entire Piatt County Sheriff's Office with our locally built lights designed specifically for LEOs. Each member of the department received a T-MAX LE to add to their setup, and we’ll be joining them for some training soon, as well.
"Special thanks to Sheriff Mark Vogelzang and Sgt. Mark Olsen for their hospitality on our visit. We hope the new lights will be useful tools in helping keep you safer on the job! Built in the USA. DM us for Military, LEO, and First Responder discounts."
