1. Call to Order

5. Public forum acknowledgement:

- Sam Black addressed the board giving feedback regarding the lack of Microsoft Office on computers. Michelle Nolen gave him information about where to locate it on computers and will also address this with staff for future use, as Mr. Black reported staff didn’t know they had access to it.

6. Librarian’s report:

- Presented by: Michelle Nolen (Library Director)

Discussions:

● Summer Reading Kick off 5/26 from 10-2

● Summer Reading Program begins 6/1

● Closed for Memorial Day

● IPLAR is due 6/30

● Michelle will be gone from 5/31 to 6/4

● Applied for StarNet Grant, which is a mini grant for an app to track the eclipse

● National Library Pen Pal Project starting. Sign ups are from 6/1 to 6/12

● Circulation numbers are up from ‘21-’22, getting closer to pre-2020 numbers

- Roof: Justin Gordon from Central Roofing came to discuss their roofing quote of $210,335.60

- Discussion of going Fine Free for the library was had; Karen Reed moved to go fine free for 6 months to see how it goes. There was no second.

- Sheila Greuel, representing the East Central Illinois Department of Aging, came to present to the ETML Board regarding Moultrie County pursuing a Dementia Friendly status. There will likely be activities held at the library, as well as trainings on interactions with people who experience dementia.
