Moultrie County taxpayers ranked 56th in total sales taxes paid per county in 2022, according to Illinois tax records.

In total, Moultrie County residents paid $3.1 million in sales taxes during 2022.

Moultrie County ranked 58th in the Prairie State the year before, with $2.5 million spent in sales taxes.

The County Sales Tax accounted for the largest share of sales taxes paid by Moultrie County residents in 2022.
