Maroa Forsyth Community Unit School District 2 Board of Education met Oct. 30.

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

1. Call to Order

Roll call taken, present included Wise, Conway, Zuniga, Crawford, Lidy, Feinstein, and Parker. No absences

2. Pledge of Allegiance

3. Closed Session - For the Purpose of appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of specific employees, specific individuals. 5ILCS 120/2(c)(1)

Motion by Isaac Zuniga Seconded by Susie Conway to enter closed session at 6:00pm. All members voted in yes. Motion carried.

2nd Round interview of superintendent candidates by Board of Education and Building Principals

Community Engagement Process with Vic Zimmerman from Illinois Association of School Boards

Motion by Isaac Zuniga and seconded by Matt Crawford to close executive session at 9:01pm. All members vote yes. Motion Carried.

a. No action was taken after closed session

4. Motion by Susie Conway and seconded by Jill Feinstein to set November 2, 2023 at 6:00pm for a special board meeting. All members voted yes. Motion carried.

5. Motion by Matt Crawford and seconded by Isaac Zuniga to adjourn the meeting at 9:01pm. All members voted yes. Motion Carried.
