MAYOR’S COMMENTS: AVP Hackl recognized Chief Wheeler’s recent Award for assisting in saving the life of a local Resident.

PUBLIC COMMENTS: Cody Dawson, owner of a property located at 286 S. Roosevelt, spoke to the Board about his sewer issue. He has Village water but doesn’t have sewer, and would like to connect to the existing sewer line across the road without annexation. He wants to use a Farm loan and it has restrictions regarding annexation. He plans to eventually run a small truck repair shop and also build a home on the property. He will pay the hook-up fees and other expenses associated with it. Attorney Jankowicz commented that he had been in touch with Mr. Dawson’s Attorney, Ross Munsterman regarding the issue. They have agreed that the property does not apply to the Village Ordinance -see Section 507-2(D). Mr. Dawson stated that the property was improperly appraised with both Village water and sewer when he purchased it. Trustee Hackl will meet with the Sewer Committee to discuss the issue and have a decision to present at the next Board meeting.
