Warrensburg-Latham District Office, 430 W North Street, Warrensburg, Il President, David Munson, called the regular meeting of the board of education to order at 5:56 p.m.
Members present by roll call vote were: Greg Hale Jr., R.J. McKenzie, David Munson, Clay Sellmeyer, Chris Wentworth,Victoria Williams and David Zaske.
Pledge of Allegiance
A motion was made by Mr. Greg Hale and seconded by Mrs. Victoria Williams to adjourn to closed meeting at 5:58 p.m. All members present voted aye. Motion carried.
A motion was made by Mrs. Victoria Williams and seconded by Mr. R.J. McKenzie to approve the consent agenda containing approval of monthly financial reports, minutes, special meeting minutes, approval of executive session meeting minutes and destruction of recordings as presented. All members present voted aye. Motion carried.
A motion was made by Mr. David Munson and seconded by Mr .Clay Sellmeyer to approve the July 2024 bills as presented for payment. All members present voted aye. Motion carried.
Mrs. Teresa Bailey presented information regarding Monthly Financial Update.
A motion was made by Mr. Clay Sellmeyer and seconded by Mrs. Victoria Williams to approve the hire of Technology Department Assistant, John Crowe, for the 2024-2025 school year effective immediately pending satisfactory background checks. All members present voted aye. Motion carried.
A motion was made by Mrs. Victoria Williams and seconded by Mr. David Zaske. to approve the hire of WLES 5th Grade Teacher, Allie Heaton, for the 2024-2025 school year pending satisfactory background checks. All members present voted aye. Motion carried.
A motion was made by Mr. David Munson and seconded by Mr. Clay Sellmeyer to approve the resignation of Administrative Assistant to the Superintendent, Heather Ehrhart, effective immediately. All members present voted aye. Motion carried.
A motion was made by Mrs. Victoria Williams and seconded by Mr. David Zaske to approve the resignation of Custodian, MJ Thomas-Bond, effective immediately. All members present voted aye. Motion carried.
A motion was made by Mr. David Munson and seconded by Mr. Clay Sellmeyer to approve the Superintendent’s contract amendment as presented, All members present voted aye. Motion carried.
A motion was made by Mr. Clay Sellmeyer and seconded by Mr. Greg Hale Jr. to approve the recording secretary compensation as recommended. All members present voted aye. Motion carried.
A motion was made by Mr. David Munson and seconded by Mr. R.J. McKenzie to set the annual budget hearing for September 18, 2024. All members present voted aye. Motion carried.
A motion was made by Mr. Chris Wentworth and seconded by Mr. David Zaske to approve the IASB Press 115 updates as presented. All members present voted aye. Motion carried.
Various informational items were discussed.
A motion was made by Mr. David Zaske and seconded by Mr. Chris Wentworth to adjourn the July 24, 2024 meeting of the Warrensburg-Latham CUSD#11 Board of Education at 7:04 p.m. All members present voted aye. Motion carried.
