Maroa Forsyth Community Unit School District 2 Board of Education met June 16.

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

1. Call to Order- 6:02 pm

Pledge of Allegiance- No Motion

2. Roll Call - Present - Wise, Conway, Parker, Feinstein, Zuniga, Lidy

Absent - Crawford

3. Good News- No Motion

Student Resource officer Garcia presents - Illinois invent to prevent sponsored by homeland security, launched in 2021, kids define the problems and roll out a plan to fix the problems, Garcia will be a mentor avl. for the kids involved. Try to get anywhere between 8 - 15 students involved. targeting more MS and GS students to get involved. $1000.00 seed money to start. Possibility to move onto Nationals as well.

5. Consent Agenda - Motion by Lidy and seconded by Feinstein to approve the consent agenda as presented. Vote 6-0 in favor

6. New Business

a. Non-District Tuition for the 25-26 school year - Action

Motion by Conway, Seconded by Feinstein to approve the out of district tuition rate for 25-26 school year for $12,526.21.

Roll Call Vote - Motion Carried 6-0 in favor.

b. Motion to approve the property and liability insurance renewal for 25-26 - Action.

Motion by Parker, seconded by Zuniga to approve the property and liability insurance renewal for the 25-26 school year

Roll Call Vote - Motion Carried 6-0 Vote

c. Policy Review: Informational

d. Sports Medicine contract : Action

Motion by Wise, Seconded by Parker to approve the contract with MGM Sports Medicine Services as presented

Roll Call Vote - Motion Carried 6-0

e. Contracts for building and grounds director and food service director - Action

Motion by Lidy, Seconded by Parker to approve the contracts for the buildings and grounds director and the food service director as presented.

a. Vacant Math Position update - informational - motion

b. Principal/AD Reports - No Motion

c. IASB Liaison Report- No Motion

8. Executive Session

Motion by Lidy seconded by Zuniga to enter into closed session at 7:09 pm, to discuss possible litigation, appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, dismissal or performance of specific employees of the public body, Section 5 ILCS 120/2 (c) (1) and purpose of self-evaluation and practices and procedures of professional ethics as state in 5 ILCS 120/2 (c) (16) Vote 6-0 in favor.

Motion by Lidy seconded by Feinstein to exit closed session at 9:24 pm. Vote 6-0 in favor.

9. Adjournment - Motion by Lidy and seconded by Feinstein to adjourn at 9:25 pm. All in Favor. Motion Carried
