Warrensburg-Latham Community Unit School District 11 Board met June 25.

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

Vice-President, David Munson, called the regular meeting of the board of education to order at 6:00 p.m.

Members present by roll call vote were: Greg Hale Jr., RJ McKenzie, David Munson, Clay Sellmeyer, and David Zaske.

Absent: Chris Wentworth and Victoria Williams

Vice-President David Munson asked if there was any public comment at which time there was none. Vice-President, David Munson convenes the FY25 budget hearing at 6:00 p.m. Mrs. Kirsten Perkins provided information regarding budget presentation and budget summary. Vice-President, David Munson asked if there was any public comment at which time there was none. Vice-President, David Munson adjourned the FY25 budget hearing at 6:07 p.m.

A motion was made by Mr. Clay Sellmeyer and seconded by Mr. RJ McKenzie to approve the consent agenda containing approval of monthly financial reports, minutes, special meeting minutes, approval of executive session meeting minutes and destruction of recordings as presented. All members present voted aye. Motion carried.

A motion was made by Mr. David Zaske and seconded by Mr. RJ McKenzie to approve the June 2025 bills, including late June bills and July 1st bills, as presented. All members present voted aye. Motion carried.

Mrs. Kirsten Perkins presented information regarding the Monthly Financial Update.

A motion was made by Mr. Greg Hale and seconded by Mr. RJ McKenzie to adopt the FY25 Amended Budget (summary) as presented. All members present voted aye. Motion carried.

A motion was made by Mr. David Munson and seconded by Mr. David Zaske to adopt the 2025-2026 Warrensburg-Latham CUSD#11 Student/Parent Handbook as presented. All members present voted aye. Motion carried.

A motion was made by Mr. David Munson and seconded by Mr. RJ McKenzie to approve the hire of WLHS English Teacher, Jennifer Thomas, for the 2025-2026 school year pending satisfactory background check and employment history review. All members present voted aye. Motion carried.

A motion was made by Mr. David Munson and seconded by Mr. Clay Sellmeyer to approve the resignation of WLES Teacher Assistant, Grace Martin, effective June 9, 2025, as presented. All members present voted aye. Motion carried.

A motion was made by Mr. RJ McKenzie and seconded by Mr. David Zaske to approve the hire of WLHS Non-Instructional Assistant Kenna Cope, for the 2025-2026 school year pending satisfactory background check and employment history review. All members present voted aye. Motion carried.

A motion was made by Mr. David Zaske and seconded by Mr. RJ McKenzie to approve hire of WLHS Student Council Sponsor, Jaycie Edwards, for the 2025-2026 school year. All members present voted aye. Motion carried.

A motion was made by Mr. David Zaske and seconded by Mr. RJ McKenzie to approve the hire of WLHS Assistant Girls’ Basketball Coach, Mikayla Lehman for 2025-2026 pending satisfactory background check and employment history review. All members present voted aye. Motion carried.

A motion was made by Mr. David Munson and seconded by Mr. David Zaske to approve the Resolution declaring the intention to issue $2,800,000 Working Cash Fund Bonds of Community Unit School District Number 11, Macon and Logan Counties, Illinois, for the purpose of increasing the Working Cash Fund of said School District, and directing that notice of such intention be published in the manner provided by law. All members present voted aye. Motion carried.

Mrs. Cheryl Warner presented information regarding FOIA Review.

A motion was made by Mr. David Munson and seconded by Mr. Clay Sellmeyer to retain all executive session minutes as closed for January 2025-June 2025. All members present voted aye. Motion carried.

A motion was made by Mr. RJ McKenzie and seconded by Mr. David Zaske to approve changes made to the 2025-2027 Board Meeting dates as presented. All members present voted aye. Motion carried.

Various informational items were discussed.

A motion was made by Mr. Greg Hale and seconded by Mr. Clay Sellmeyer to adjourn the June 25, 2025 meeting of the Warrenburg-Latham CUSD#11 Board of Education at 7:09 p.m. All members present voted aye. Motion carried.
