Bethany FPD responds to seven fires in 2018

Bethany Fire Protection District responded to nine calls in 2018 - 72.7 percent less than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Bethany included seven fires - three structure fires, one vehicle fire and three other fires. The fire department also responded to one call for ruptures, explosions or overheating.

In all, the department saw $20,800 in fire loss - or about $2,971 per fire.

The department also received one false call.

The Bethany Fire Protection District had an annual budget of $264,000 in 2017.
