State Rep. Dan Caulkins (R-Decatur) reported the latest recipients of his salary through the Outreach 101 initiative.

In a post on his Facebook page, Caulkins said the program he launched in 2019 has distributed $58,563 of his salary throughout the district over the past 18 months. Recipients include Encore Developmental Sciences ($3,000), The Vault ($2,000), and the WSOY Community Food Drive ($500).

"If you know of an organization that would like some help with programming or a special project, send a short message to me at dan@dancaulkins.com," Caulkins said.

Caulkins pledged that as state representative, he would not accept a legislative salary, pension or health care benefits.

“Today, I am fulfilling that pledge," he said. "I’ve already rejected the pension and benefits and I will be donating my salary to worthy causes throughout the communities that make up my legislative district. Outreach 101 is a great initiative that will provide assistance to our seniors, veterans and youth groups for local projects and events.”
