Report: Sullivan spent $8,232 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Sullivan Community Unit School District 300 is down 3 percent from five years ago, according to a Macon Reporter analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Moultrie County school district spent $8,448 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $8,232 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 1158 to 1143.

Sullivan's spending in 2016-17 was 37 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
