Report: Okaw Valley spent $10,020 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Okaw Valley Community Unit School District 302 is up 7.5 percent from five years ago, according to a Macon Reporter analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Moultrie County school district spent $9,324 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $10,020 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 558 to 507.

Okaw Valley's spending in 2017-18 was 24.9 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
