Report: Okaw Valley School District spent $10,654 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Okaw Valley Community Unit School District 302 was up 14.4 percent from five years ago, according to the Macon Reporter analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Moultrie County school district spent $9,316 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $10,654 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 513 to 501 students over the same period.

Okaw Valley's spending in 2019-20 was 26.5 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
