There were 601 Hispanic students enrolled in Macon County school districts in the 2022-23 school year, 4.7% more than the previous year, according to the Illinois State Board of Education.

Data showed that Hispanic students made up 4% of the 14,880 students in the county. They were the third least represented ethnicity at the time.

Among the seven districts in Macon County, Decatur School District 61 recorded the highest enrollment of Hispanic students in the 2022-23 school year, with a total of 416 students.
